Even though I read him encouraging people to steal like artists, show their work, and keep going countless times, Austin Kleon's description of what it's like to be creative is what stuck with me the most. Hearing him talk about poetry and how it saved (and is saving) his life sounds very much akin to how I feel about my own creative endeavors. I'm certain I would have stayed a highly grumpy and endlessly unpleasant person to be around, have I not started busying myself with making these animations a year and a half ago.
